We're two weeks into 2013, and the Columbus concert schedule is starting to thicken up. Here's a smattering of the latest announcements:

Ever-enthusiastic Brit prog rockers Muse will headline the Schottenstein Center on March 5. Tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. for $36.50 to $46.50. Dead Sara opens the show.

Columbus gets a visit from The Avett Brothers at least once a year, and the fiery-throated folkies will return to the LC on May 25. Tickets cost $38 starting 10 a.m. Friday.

One band we haven't seen 'round here in a while is Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, but it looks like the leather-clad Jesus and Mary Chain enthusiasts will be at Newport Music Hall on May 11. That one will cost $20 starting 10 a.m. Saturday.

More urgently, Arkansas doom metal breakout stars Pallbearer will be at The Summit on January 28 at a Dreadful Sounds-sponsored show designed to help the band make some dough on the way to a tour with Enslaved. Sorry, Enslaved fans: They won't be on this show. But Lo-Pan and Before the Eyewall will. No advance tickets on that one, just show up at the bar with $8 cash.

Gleaming, vigorous '80s revivalists Eternal Summers will be back in town Feb. 8 at Double Happiness too. Tickets for that one cost $5 advance, $8 at the door.

The Revival Tour brings a slew of solo acts including Chuck Ragan (Hot Water Music), Rocky Volatolo (Waxwing), Dave Hause(Step Ahead, The Curse)and Jenny Owen Youngs to A&R Music Bar on April 6. Ticketsgo on sale Jan. 24 for $18.
