Mice Parade at the Tree Bar

Anagrams are fun, and Mice Parade is a reshuffling of band mastermind Adam Pierce’s name. So that’s nice.

They make good music too, though. Candela, the ensemble’s brand new LP, is full of blissed-out and expansive indie-pop that will probably make for a lovely night in the intimate confines of Tree Bar. Gunnar Örn Tynes of Múm is in the band, and Mice Parade shares that group’s knack for translating miniature sounds into epic scope.

Opening acts include likeminded locals Feature Films (one of those “I wish they’d finally release an album” bands, much like singer Sam Craighead’s previous project Heavy Mole) and a solo set from Mice Parade member Dan Lippel.
