With Kobo, Jacob Wooten has converted a forsaken Campus dive bar into a revitalized hub for local and national music. To celebrate three years in business, he booked a trio of concerts that exemplify Kobo’s aesthetic.

The Saturday Giant, New City Gypsy, Sewing Machine War, Tin Armor and DJ Charles Erickson kick off the celebration Thursday. Friday follows with The Whiles, Ghost Shirt, The Receiver and Old Hundred. The party wraps up Saturday with The Wet Darlings, Lo-Pan, The End of the Ocean, Sleep Fleet and DJ George Brazil.

It’s not an all-inclusive swath of local music, but it’s one of the best bunches of Columbus bands anybody could corral — so basically your average night at Kobo.
