Two more concert announcements I didn't get to in Monday's report:

Alt-country heroine/part-time New Pornographer Neko Case will headline Newport Music Hall on Saturday, Oct. 19. Tickets cost $28 ($35.85) and are on sale now.

A few days earlier, on Tuesday, Oct. 15, Scottish sadsack rockers Frightened Rabbit will play the very same venue. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday for $17 ($22.85 with fees). Pretty bummed that one is directly up against Drake, Miguel and Future, but Frightened Rabbit has a way of making people bummed.

UPDATE: The Bus Stop points out that Savages, the furiously intense British post-punk revivalists, are scheduled to play The Basement on Sunday, Sept. 15, which is frustrating because Queens of the Stone Age is playing the LC the same night, and extra frustrating because those bands are touring together a few weeks later. PromoWest should combine those shows!
