Burly Chapel Hill rock-’n’-rollers Valient Thorr have the formula down: big riffs with testicular fortitude and not a sliver of extraneous girth. (Save that for lead singer Valient Himself’s formidable beard.)

Their band is all about embracing the outlandishly fun side of cock rock; check the “Office Space”-inspired clip for “Torn Apart” from the new Our Own Masters, out this week on Volcom Entertainment, the latest in a series of humorous videos.

The show Thursday at Ace of Cups is their only Ohio gig in support of the new record, so warm up with Gypsyhawk, Ramming Speed and Artillery Breath and prepare to throw down.
