O.A.R.’s rise from Ohio State frat parties to Madison Square Garden has been well-documented, as has the fact that all but saxophonist Jerry DePizzo has moved on from Columbus. But did you know last year the group added two more Columbus brass-blasters, Evan Oberla and Jon Lampley, to round out the horn section? Now you know.

There’s no news yet of a follow-up to 2011’s King, but considering how many times the band has returned to play Columbus since that dropped, I’m guessing there’s still plenty of demand for a return visit under any circumstances. Andrew McMahon and Allen Stone open Saturday’s show at the LC.
