Staff Pick: A diverse array of local musicians band together for Braydan's Benefit Bash

A diverse group of musicians will gather at Skully's Music Diner on Saturday, Nov. 9, in support of a common cause.

Braydan Goines, 4, was recently diagnosed with stage 4 Hodgkin's lymphoma, and has already started receiving chemotherapy at the Cleveland Clinic. In order to help defray the cost of his medical bills, a diverse group of local artists have stepped up and donated their time and talents for this benefit show, and 100 percent of the door proceeds will go directly to Braydan and his family.

The bill, like a cruise ship buffet or a family vacation resort, offers a little something for everyone. The concert features performances by dub musician Doctah X, bizarro rapper Envelope, indie-rockers Weight of Whales, noise-punks Van Dale and surf-garage rockers Mummula. So even if charity isn't your thing (which is something you might want to keep to yourself, just saying), the heavyweight lineup alone is enough reason to catch this show.
