Concert preview: Rising pop-punk trio Vacation not likely to get time off soon

The Cincinnati trio had quite a 2013, landing a deal with Don Giovanni — the tastemaking label that helped introduce the public to the likes of Waxahatchee and Screaming Females — and releasing a new album, Candy Waves, that both sharpened and refined its pop-punk sound without sacrificing any of the music’s raw-nerve urgency. The best cuts here (“Pyro Hippies,” “Make a Mess”) are both as fiery and guitar-strewn as their respective titles suggest.
Vacation headlines a killer night of music that also includes performances from Psychic Wheels, Goners and Low Charge.
