The Georgia-based garage-pop trio didn’t break any new ground with its 2012 album Enjoy the Company.

Still, as the record title suggests, the tunes were generally pleasant, built on an array of sturdy rock riffs and frontman Parker Gispert’s workmanlike songwriting.

While early albums were often seedier affairs, these days the musicians sound content to keep on the sunny side — a shift reflected in upbeat pop gems like “Tiny Treasures” and the celebratory “Staying Alive,” which slow burns for more than six minutes before arriving at its glorious, feedback-laden climax.

It’s a song that should sound fantastic live when the band hits the stage at The Basement this weekend.
