Concert preview: A Sex Pistol and a New York Doll walk into a bar

Decades of music history will be on display when Glen Matlock, founding member and bass player for The Sex Pistols, and opener Sylvain Sylvain, who played with glam-rockers The New York Dolls from 1971 until the band’s dissolution in 1977, team up for this live appearance.

Matlock has billed this run of shows as “Punk Goes Acoustic,” so expect less angry snarling and more gentle prodding from the legendary bassist, who, thankfully, has mellowed slightly with age.
