Staff Pick: Danish producer rides the lightning to Capital University
Danish recording engineer and producer Flemming Rasmussen, best known for his work on classic Metallica albums Ride the Lightning, Master of Puppets and the good-god-how-was-this-made-by human-hands majesty of …And Justice for All, will make a rare Columbus appearance when he delivers a keynote speech set to highlight a day of music-related events at the Capital University Conservatory of Music on Saturday, March 29.
The free series, which runs from 1-6 p.m. (Rasmussen’s address is scheduled for 3 p.m. sharp), also includes workshops covering topics that range from choosing the right microphone to DJ techniques. While attendance is free, space is limited, so organizers are asking interested parties to register for the event by visiting capital.edu/musictechworkshop.
