EDITOR'S PICKS: 15 things to do this weekend

Staff Writer
Columbus Alive

My weekend will be spent in the bucolic Hocking Hills region at the Nelsonville Music Festival. Hopefully I'll see you there (seriously, every year it's basically like Columbus picks up and moves to Nelsonville for the weekend). As always, here's what I'd do if I could be everywhere all the time.

Central Ohio NORML Standup Comedy Showcase at Zeno's

This is potentially the greatest idea ever to happen to a comedian.

"The Double" at Gateway Film Center

"The Memorial" in Dublin

The Dewdroppers at Natalie's Coal-Fired Pizza

Erika Hughes & The Well Mannered at Brothers Drake Meadery & Bar

Art & Drag for Michael at Circus Restaurant & Bar

Nelsonville Music Festival in Nelsonville

Though Friday's stretch of Quilt into Kurt Vile into Dinosaur Jr. into The Men is about as strong a stretch as this fest's put out, Saturday probably makes the most sense if you're only looking to swing by for a day. Single-day tickets for Saturday are only $80 (weekend passes go for $30 more). You can't find a closer, more relaxing music festival in these here parts.

"O. Twist" at Lincoln Theatre

Wax Nostalgic at Rivet Gallery

Kenny Lectro's Bar Mixvah at Brothers Drake Meadery & Bar

Neon Dash at Downtown Columbus

31st Columbus Human Rights Campaign Gala at Ohio Union

The Grandview Hop in Grandview Heights

Tour of Franklinton Cycling Race and Bike Rally in Franklinton

It's like the Tour de France, but somehow cooler. This fast-paced bike racing event takes place on closed city streets in the Franklinton neighborhood. Make sure to bring your bike to participate in the bike rally.

"The Divine Sister" at Short North Stage
