Holy shitake! Talk about a weekend chock-full of fun stuff. Two huge festivals are this weekend, in addition to a haunters convention, amazing rock and hip-hop concerts, a planetarium tour and much more. As always, here's what I'd do if I could be everywhere all the time.

Columbus hip-hop pioneer J Rawls isn't so much retiring, as he is stepping back from the spotlight. It's time for the next generation of rappers, producers, promoters, etc. to step up. Before that happens, though, Rawls is due a victory lap. Check out his latest album, the appropriately titled The Legacy, at its release show at Double Happiness.
Hank3 takes me back to my days covering West Virginia's arts scene many years ago, and, particularly, to The V Club, one of Dub V's best music venues. Think Ace of Cups, but a little dingier. In other words, the perfect spot for some Hank throwdowns. You ain't seen a rowdy show 'til you've seen a Hank 3 show. And you ain't seen a Hank 3 show 'til you've seen it in a dingy Huntington rock club. The Newport, however, will more than suffice.
