Fly Moon Royalty, the Seattle-based collaboration between singer Adra Boo and DJ-slash-MC Action J, borrows liberally from the worlds of funk, electronica and soul for its Unfinished Business EP.

“Piece of Me” struts along on funk guitar that could have been cribbed from Stevie Wonder’s “Superstition,” while “DNA” taps into Daft Punk’s motherboard, building on digitized vocals and a snaking electronic groove. Best of all might be the aptly named “The Anthem,” a rumbling, rowdy banger that straddles both of these worlds, rolling like an Escalade down futuristic city streets.
