Concert preview: Dave Buker pulls double-duty with the Historians and the Depths

Dave Buker will be pulling double-duty at Spacebar, fronting his namesake band, Dave Buker & the Historians, as well as performing alongside longtime collaborator Tyler Theofilos in the Depths, which ventured into more exploratory territory on its 2013 EP I Was Smoke. Where the Historians tend toward roots-leaning numbers awash in piano and finger-picked guitar, the Depths let a bit more air into the mix on ambient Americana cuts like the appropriately titled “Clouds Over a River.”
