Concert preview: Turtle Island returns to Skully's with a new single in tow

The pop experimentalists in Turtle Island ought to feel right at home onstage at Skully’s; the band’s last proper release, which surfaced last November, was a live album recorded at the venue. Now the crew returns to the space with a new studio song, “Ouija Boys,” a gleaming, sun-kissed tune that scales back some of the band’s more esoteric leanings while still maintaining a sense of adventure. It’s akin to exploring a new part of the country rather than an entirely different galaxy.

Worn Flints and Keeps also perform.
