In the “About” section on its official site, the jazz-rock trio describes itself as “a sonic virus,” which is a fitting description considering its music is constantly mutating, taking on stronger, antibiotic-resistant strains.

The band members — Gregg Prickett (guitar), Aaron Gonzalez (bass) and Stefan Gonzalez (drums) — cut imposing figures onstage, slathering themselves in war paint and donning loin cloths. Though dressed for battle, the trio’s music is less a full-frontal assault than a stealth attack, building on proggy, improvised passages both intricate and hypnotic.

Cosmic Moon, BLuDDeD HEAD and Headtaker also perform.
