Yoni Wolf, best known as the frontman for Berkeley, California’s eclectic alterna-hop crew Why?, has kept a low profile in recent years — a fact he touches on at the onset of his 2014 mixtape Old Dope.

“Oh, I’ve stayed scarce this last year, yes,” he rhymes atop a spacious groove on “The Fall of Mr. Fifths.” “But be assured in unrest/ I’m unavoidable like death.”

True to his word, he’s stepped back into the public eye for this solo jaunt, which includes an opening assist from imaginative Chicago rapper Serengeti. Narrow/Arrow also performs.
