You've likely already heard The 1975's newest single "Love Me" but didn't know it was them.

This song goes all-in on the funk-rock, like pre-Blood Sugar Sex Magik-era Red Hot Chili Peppers meets the tight-leather-pants majesty of '80s pop. It's not an unpredictable sonic departure from 2013's self-titled, clean-cut charmer of an album - a lot of the staccato guitar riffage remains, for instance.

However, while their brand of pop-rock strayed towards the ethereal onThe 1975, "Love Me" seems to indicate that their style on their upcoming albumI Like It When You Sleep, For You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware of Itis deliberately upfront. What this means for the band's live show is still to be decided, but expect a little less hands in the air and a little more grooving.

This batch of Brits love rolling through the LC, so all signs point to a night full of new bangers.
