Concert preview: Pop-punk quartet Masked Intruder brings outlaw antics to Rumba Cafe

Andy Downing, Columbus Alive

The masked-and-anonymous gang embraces its shtick to an almost comical degree. All four bandmates perform wearing colored ski masks, and their albums are filled with songs about tangling with the cops ("I Fought the Law"), Bonnie and Clyde-like shenanigans ("Crime Spree") and jailbird letters ("When I Get Out"). Even so, the Wisconsin foursome knows its way around a pop-punk tune, and there are enough memorable hooks here to overlook the outlaw gimmick.

Cadaver Dogs, Skashank Redemption and the Last Ones also perform.
