Concert preview: Tan at Double Happiness

Tan, the synth-pop/dance project from Columbus native Nathan Snell, takes the textures of the '80s and refashions them for today. It's decidedly retro - he even says it's in the vein of Bobby Orlando or Patrick Cowley. These references signify that he produces his electronic timbres with real instrumentation, in a manner similar to how it was performed when the style was being pioneered. It's refreshing.
