There's little risk associated with Breakaway Music Festival's decision to take a Chance with this year's lineup.

Chicago MC Chance the Rapper, fresh off the release of his latest mixtape, the excellent, gospel-spiked Coloring Book, was recently announced as day one headliner for the reborn fest, which takes place Friday and Saturday, Aug. 26 and 27 at the Ohio Expo Center.

Chance joins an adventurous, EDM and hip-hop heavy lineup that also features headliners Dillon Francis, Young Thug, RL Grime and "how is that pronounced again?" rap duo Rae Sremmurd. Additional performers announced includeTy Dolla $ign, Alison Wonderland, Benny Benassi, Waka Flocka Flame, Desiigner, Skizzy Mars, Jerreau and more.

"[Chance the Rapper's] sound speaks volumes for the current hip-hop community, and we are proud to bring this high energy performer to Ohio," co-founder of Prime Social Group Zach Ruben said in a press release.

The Chicago-born rapper, arguably one of the biggest names in modern music, is a major get for the fest, which is returning for its second go round after debuting in 2013 with a roster that included Bassnectar, Twenty One Pilots and a then-rising Kendrick Lamar (read our review of the day here).
