Dwight Yoakam's concert in conjunction with the Quarter Horse Congress will be a homecoming, of sorts. The country singer was born in Pikeville, Kentucky, but was raised in Columbus and graduated from Northland High School, even briefly attending Ohio State before dropping out and moving away. Yoakam never quite fit in with the mainstream country machine, drawing in Los Angeles fans who gravitated to bands like X and the Blasters. Thankfully, all these years later, Yoakam still doesn't fit a certain mold. (Don't miss it)
