Instrumental space-rock act Cave channels anything and everything into its jams, from Krautrock, the Grateful Dead and exotica to that all-encompassing “world music” tag. The Chicago band, now a quintet, will follow up 2013's Threace and 2014 B-side collection Release with new album Allways (Drag City) on Oct. 19. First single “San' Yago” is everything you'd expect from Cave while still feeling fresh and new, since no other band sounds quite like this boundary-pushing group. (Safe bet)
