Daily Distraction: Wet Leg visits wet Columbus this weekend

Watch the buzzy Isle of Wight duo's buzzy video for buzzy single 'Chaise Longue'

Every so often a buzz band comes along, and every so often said buzz band comes to Columbus mid-buzz. Such is the case with Wet Leg, aka Rhian Teasdale and Hester Chambers, who hail from Isle of Wight off the south coast of England.

Countless outlets praised Wet Leg single "Chaise Longue" as one of the best singles of 2021, and similarly uncountable (for me, at least) outlets have said the duo's forthcoming self-titled album, which releases on April 8, will likely be one of the best records of 2022.

Sometimes — as is the case, again, with Wet Leg — buzz bands are so buzzy that after being initially offered up for interviews, it later turns out the band doesn't have time for an interview. So instead, writers like myself offer up a blog, along with a video, to alert you to the fact that a buzz band is coming to town (no charge for that little peek behind the curtain): Wet Leg will play at A&R Bar on Saturday, March 5, with opener Lowertown.

And here's a video, below. It's also supposed to rain a lot in Columbus this weekend. Serendipity!
