What are you wearing? Emily Kreuz

Staff Writer
Columbus Alive

Job: Author, working on her first book

Neighborhood: Westerville

Hometown: North Side

Label your style: "Preppy"

What do you splurge on?

Handbags and shoes. I bought a Louis Vuitton, and it's so small, I use it as my wallet right now.

How different do you look day-to-day?

I'm mostly in jeans and a T-shirt every day, because I'm running errands. On the weekends, I'll wear something like this or something more nightclub-style to go out with friends or out to dinner.

What are some of your other favorite pieces?

These and another pair of YSL shoes that are open-toed. They're probably the least-comfortable shoes that I have. I love this Chanel bag - I normally don't like them because they're mainly the quilted look, and to me, that's kind of old-people-ish. But I saw this and thought, "Wow, that's really not their style."

When you look in your closet, what do you have a lot of?

Jeans. True Religion jeans are my all-time favorite. They have this white, really thick threading, so it looks like you have frosting on your jeans, I think.

Where do you like to shop?

I do a lot of online shopping and a lot of out-of-town shopping. Around here, I go to Saks Fifth Avenue and Nordstrom. I would say I'm at Easton and Polaris both twice a week.

What's your favorite city for shopping?

I haven't been to New York in a while, so right now I would have to say Chicago.
