Flying colors

Lilylimes opened in early February during the first of several snowstorms to hit Central Ohio. Despite all that, the children's boutique is bright and cheerful inside, with vibrant yellow walls encircling a slew of soft and cuddly things for baby.

Jenny Zedeker owns Lilylimes in conjunction with her husband, brother and sister-in-law.

The kids' clothing selection is heavy on gifts for newborns, and plenty is packaged adorably and ready to give - like a set of onesies made to look like rosebuds and arranged in a bouquet.

There's also lots of plush toys and blankets, piggy banks, coloring kits and fun, fanciful tutus.

Lilylimes is open next to The Hills Market at 7850 Olentangy River Rd. in Worthington. Find out more at

Boy, Oh Boy

Baskets by Bonnie, a Short North staple in the late '90s and early 2000s specializing in gifts and gift baskets, has launched an online store for its fun and funky, cult-favorite toy offerings.

Oh Boy Toy offers retro home decor, funny desk accessories, Archie McPhee action figures and other kitsch online at

The novelties were part of Bonnie Segel's gift basket business, and when she relocated to Whitehall, interest in the "gifts with an attitude" didn't fade, she said. Columbus shoppers can pick up their orders at the Baskets by Bonnie warehouse.

Closer to its roots

Honey Grove Botanicals is relocating this weekend to a storefront just one block north of its current location in Gahanna's Creekside area.

The new location is next door to the Ohio Herb Education Center, which owner Barbara Drobnick plans to work even more closely with as she plans her herb-based home and skin-care products.

Honey Grove Botanicals opened three years ago and carries soap, soy candles and do-it-yourself fragrance for lotion and bath products. The new location will be open at 116 Mill St. in a week or so.
