Tell me about your dress.

This is one of the first things my friend Jen made for the line she has on Etsy now. It's definitely my style, but it's not representative of my everyday wear.

What do you like to wear?

I really like over-the-top and being heavily accessorized. I usually wear really cheap clothes and then just make it look special by wearing lots of accessories. Most of them are from overseas - I lived in Italy for a while, and I lived in London for a while. And I'm a big scarf person, and I wear lots of stripe-y socks sticking out from under skirts.

What do other people think about what you wear?

I'll go to the coffee shop, and they'll be like, "What can we get for the gypsy?" People have called me a pirate, a gypsy and artsy. It makes me laugh.

How has your style changed?

For the first three years of college, I was dressing like a hobo. I was like, "I'm an art student. I don't care." And then, when I was living in Florence and when I was living in London, people just look good all the time, and fashion is really important. That started getting me into fashion. I couldn't afford a lot, but they instilled in me that it's important to look good and feel good.
