What are you wearing? Crystal Olig
Job: Account manager at Oxiem
Neighborhood: Westerville
Hometown: North Platte, Nebraska
Age: 26
Label your style: "Modern eclectic"
What's your style like?
I like to pick unique, vintage-y pieces and tie them in with classic stuff so it looks kind of creative, but not crazy. I moved here from Phoenix, and I felt like I had to completely redo my wardrobe. I ended up doing a lot of layering to kind of stretch the wardrobe and budget.
Are you into accessories?
I probably have more shoes than I should. And I'm really into super-trendy nail polish. I follow all the nail polish blogs - I have no idea why I like nail polish, over than it was something my grandma and I shared. Today I'm wearing Zoya brand matte gray.
What shopping favorites have you discovered here?
The vintage stores in Clintonville and Grandview. I'm obviously a fan of Anthropologie, and I also like Wholly Craft in Clintonville and Old World New Home in the Short North.
How does Columbus' shopping scene compare to other places you've lived?
Columbus is unique, I think. There's more to choose from than in Phoenix, where it's a lot of big-box retailers or really high-end stuff.
What kind of impression do you try to give?
Especially being new to the city, I had to do a lot of networking and stuff, so I always try to wear something that would look interesting and engaging, but professional at the same time.
