Why you should go:

Whether you're a longtime food and wine enthusiast or a newbie to the foodie world, the three-day North Market festival caters to all. Experts can taste an assortment of Ohio wines and food from local eateries while newcomers can pick up tips from wine stewards and cooking demonstrations in a state-of-the-art mobile kitchen.

What to eat & drink:

Sample a range of vino from 18 Ohio wineries (including Columbus' own Wyandotte Winery) and feast on delectable dishes from local restaurants like Latitude 41 and Due Amici, plus North Market merchants.

More than a dozen bands and performers will play throughout the weekend on the Spruce Street stage and porch area. Try to catch Willie Phoenix's brand of blues rock at noon Saturday.

Don't miss:

This year's culinary demonstration schedule looks exciting all around, but the demo from John Hard of the North Market's own CaJohn's Flavor & Fire is sure to be a scorching good time. Hard's charming personality is only outmatched by his knowledge of spices, peppers and hot sauce.
