Expect bold new flavors in the Short North, as Rigsby's Kitchen has hired William Fugitt as its chef de cuisine.

"He's very talented," sous chef Forbes Rigsby said this week by phone. "Of course, there's his love for the food. He's very passionate and has a lot of great ideas already."

Before coming to the Short North, Fugitt spent time at Tru in Chicago, The Country Club at Muirfield Village and The Chef's Garden, a sustainable family farm in Huron.

Founder Kent Rigsby will remain the restaurant's executive chef and will continue to have "a lot of input on the menu," Forbes Rigsby said.
