Ashley Curl first fell in love with Columbus while playing basketball at Capital University. The 27-year-old has since planted her roots here as an account coordinator at Hinson Ltd. and is known throughout the local nonprofit scene for her laundry list of volunteer work.

Catch her walking the runway at Highball Halloween's Costume Couture Fashion Showdown. She'll be modeling a custom-made "Alice in Wonderland" outfit by local designer Shann Cortes.

Girly, chic and fashion-forward.

Favorite fall trend?

Faux fur, leather jackets and sequins-glam.

Any pieces you always wear ?

My nude pumps I bought at Nordstrom last fall. I also wear a ring my parents bought me for my birthday a few years ago, no matter what I'm wearing.

Where's your go-to place to find jeans?

Voodoo Denim Lounge. I love my new pair of DL 1961 dark jeans, and I just recently got a great pair of gray Citizens of Humanity jeggings.

Do you buy much art?

I bought one of my favorite paintings at Z Gallerie about six years ago, but then I stepped into Mac Worthington's gallery during a Gallery Hop and fell in love. They have such amazing pieces there, especially for my contemporary liking.

Hair: Stile Salon and Waldo's on High

Makeup: Target, and Nordstrom when I want to splurge

Work wear: Limited, Express or a department store. Pencil skirts, a blouse and pumps are my go-to outfit.
