Central Ohio Home & Garden Show

"Love Stinks" in one garden, and it smells like tulips. In a garden nearby waits the King of Rock and Roll, and in another sits a garden gnome in full KISS regalia.

The gardens are part of the annual Central Ohio Home & Garden Show at the Ohio Expo Center. This year's theme, "Gardens that Rock," asked landscapers to find inspiration through classic rock songs and legends.

The result is gardens full of rock 'n' roll musings that are both literal - in the "Octopus' Garden," giant rocks form the sea creature - and inspirational, like a water fountain made of antiqued brass instruments.

In addition to the gardens, the show features myriad vendor booths with displays on nearly every aspect of home improvement, from dog training to hot tub installation. There are also daily demonstrations and classes on subjects such as composting and fire pit designs.

The Home & Garden Show has been happening since last week, but here are some upcoming events that prove things really get going during the twilight of the party. How very rock and roll of them.
