What's in your bag? Allie Lehman
Allie Lehman is a designer, dog lover (she's got a cockapoo named Desh who often pilfers her lip balm) and blogger. Her most recent project is called the "30 Day Photo Challenge," and she compiles photo submissions from around the world that represent one theme or prompt per day. Check it out at blog.allisonlehman.com.
Bag: From Target
La Sardina35mm camera: Shaped and designed like a sardine can. From lomography.com
Whole Living: "I don't subscribe to this magazine. It just shows up with my name and address on it. Maybe someone gave it to me as a gift … or it's an angel telling me I need to eat better. I love looking at the clean design."
iPad: Frequently used to play Words with Friends. "My husband's like, 'Are you working?' and I'm like, 'Yeah...'"
Small Business Beanstalk Community Card: For deals at local stores and restaurants
Clutch: From Urban Outfitters. "I use this for my cards. If I don't want to take my whole bag in, I'll just bring this and leave my purse in the car."
Sunglasses: "I never spend more than $5 on sunglasses. I step on them or my husband sits on them. I just need something to cover my eyes."
OPI nail polish: In "Pink-ing of You."
Burt's Beeslip balm: "I'm a big fan of Burt's Bees … the scents are mild, and they're natural products."
Notebooks: Three swim in this bag. To-do lists go in the thin Field Notes pad, which she got on a website that sells goods at steep discounts because the designs have expired (fab.com). A Twitter follower led her to Portland publisher The Little Otsu (littleotsu.com), where she got the planner. And she uses the sturdy, inconspicuous Moleskine notebook to draft designs, fonts and concepts for clients.
