Hair Repair

Let's face it, it's been hot. Really, really hot. Couple that with use of a flat iron, and my locks were feeling a bit dry. So I was intrigued by the Salon Grafix Healthy Hair Nutrition Intensive Hair Repair Masque, which claims to "deeply hydrate, nourish and protect dry and damaged hair, without weighing it down." After my typical shampoo and conditioning routine, I covered my wet hair in the masque. It's recommended to leave it in for at least 3-5 minutes (although you can go longer), so I aimed for 5 minutes. Some cold water and a blow dry later, I was able to notice the moisture that was still locked in my hair, giving it some body. I didn't, however, see the shine that the masque said it would restore. I was also bummed that the citrus scent that was evident from the bottle didn't linger after use. Overall, though, I liked the feeling that it gave my hair… and the price is right. Try it for yourself-the Salon Grafix products can be found at drugstores for around $9. –Heather Weekley, @heather_weekley
