Real Wedding: Stephanie and Cale Snedden

Stephanie and Cale, a chiropractor, knew they wanted something different for their June 18, 2011 wedding-something aside from a church and reception hall. They nixed the idea of a destination wedding for fear grandparents couldn't travel. So the high school sweethearts from Jacksontown settled on Stephanie's 1800s family farm. That meant lots of sorting through old family heirlooms-many of which Stephanie incorporated into their day. Widow's peaks that once topped the home adorned their ceremony site; a family wagon, once used to buy wheat in town, was filled with flowers. "That was one of my favorite parts," Stephanie recalled. Even the rain, which poured until the moment they were scheduled to walk outside, couldn't ruin their big day. "My dress got soaked and was muddy by the end of the day. But you know what? I didn't care," Stephanie said. "The day was perfect." –Beth Stallings
