A Chat with Rebecca Minkoff

Handbag and apparel designer Rebecca Minkoff was recently at Saks Fifth Avenue at Polaris to showcase her fall and holiday collections. We had the chance to chat with Minkoff, and here's what we learned about her inspiration and style:

*For the newest collection, Minkoff was inspired by Ewan McGregor's documentary "Long Way Round," which chronicles the actor's travels. She used the colors he came across, especially burgundy and green. She also incorporated her signature studding and a touch of fur.

*Minkoff wants to continue to grow her collection into a full lifestyle brand. Right now, you'll find jewelry, clothes, shoes and handbags.

*Minkoff's three current wardrobe obsessions: A black motorcycle jacket, a ring designed by her friend and a new handbag from her designer line.
