Jeni's Whips Up a Theater-Inspired Ice Cream
If you're headed to the Ohio Theatre this weekend for the Columbus Symphony Orchestra and BalletMet's performance of "The Rite of Spring," you may want to make a pit stop in the lobby. Jeni's Spendid Ice Creams will be there, selling its Stravinsky-inspired flavor: Absinthe + Meringues.
Jeni's describes the ice cream as refreshing and crisp, with small and sweet meringues sprinkled throughout. "The absinthe-laced cream-green like spring foliage and grass-represents the wild side, the artists, the bohemians (big imbibers of the "Green Fairy" spirit at the time)," a press release said. You'll find the flavor alongside Jeni's Grapefruit Frozen Yogurt on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the theater. Can't make it to "The Rite of Spring"? No worries-you can try Absinthe + Meringues at one of Jeni's scoop shops and at jenis.com.
