'Paris in the Spring' Fashion Show
Francophiles and fashion-lovers will gather April 17 for the St. Andrew Women's Club fashion show, themed "Paris in the Spring."
The evening begins with cocktails and appetizers at 5:30 p.m. at Nugent Parish Hall. Michelle Miller, co-chair for the event, said they'll have wine, mixed drinks and two specialty cocktails: "The Watson," named for the church's Reverend Michael B. Watson, and a "Frenchtini."
The show starts at 6:30 p.m. with a ballet dancer performing "An American in Paris." She'll fall asleep and begin to dream of the fashion show, which will have women's, men's and children's clothing from Boho 72, Cheesecake Boutique, Jeffrey Thomas, Nicole's for Children and more. Local artist May Kodama sketched a Parisian scene for the runway's backdrop.
A dinner of Chicken Francaise, wild mushroom risotto and Brussels sprouts with pancetta will be served right after the show.
Pre-registration via mail is required to attend the event. Tickets are $35. If you'd like preferred seating, wine at your table and access to the giveaway and gifts, tickets are $50. Head here to get a hold of a form.
