1. Travel

I like to travel light and, of course, comfortably. Staying chic is also a priority. I prefer darker colors-they hide the inevitable coffee spill without completely ruining your look. Here, I've gone with a simple black T-shirt from Banana Republic, lightweight and breathable jog pants (hot trend!) from Nordstrom Rack, Louis Vuitton's Neverfull tote and patent slip-ons from DSW.

2. Beach

You absolutely can't go wrong with a white swimsuit (Victoria's Secret has a great mix-and-match selection), and white is a hot summer color this year. Pair your suit with gold accents, like the ones on these BCBG sandals. Add a beach friendly canvas and leather tote (this one is from the Banana Republic and Issa collab), reading material (Capital Style of course!) and don't forget the sunscreen-just as important as a head covering. Go for the classic old Hollywood look by wrapping your scarf around your head for an effortless chic factor.

3. Dinner

Dinner with that someone special or even a girls' evening doesn't have to mean a lot of fuss. Keep it fun but a little sexy with a fit-and-flare pastel pink dress by Maison Jules from Macy's. Pair it with a small metallic silver top-handle bag from Guess that holds everything you need for the night. Coordinating silver-accented sandals from Sam Edelman and a scarf wrapped around your wrist for a bit of whimsy finishes off the look. Have fun (and don't forget to go dancing after dinner)!
