Q&A: Jones Sisters Collaborate for CMH Fashion Week

There is no mistaking the Jones women are sisters.
Danielle, 29, and Ashleigh, 22-who are two among a brood of seven children-both love color, funky prints, affordable-but-well-made clothing. They can't get enough of The Walking Dead, and their mother inspires them with her selflessness. They love to craft things with their hands, to laugh and to drink Emergen-C when they need a boost. Both work at Tween Brands and have a tattoo of a hat rack-a reminder of their late father, who often advised, "Use your head for more than a hat rack."
At the CMH Fashion Week Finale Runway Show, the two CCAD design grads will combine their passions into a singular collection called Urban Oasis.
"It's fun, it's bold, it's daring," Danielle says. "It kind of comprises all of our characteristics that we love together and separately."
Inspired by the Plumeria flower, they'll show seven resort looks, made up of both menswear and womenswear. Expect bright patterns, classic silhouettes and interesting accessories.
"There's something for every period of the day," Ashleigh says. "Very cool and clean and easy."
The Jones sisters are anxious to present what they hope is the first of many collaborations.
