Short North Tour of Homes Highlights the New and Historic
This year marks the 40th anniversary of the Short North Tour of Homes & Gardens, presented by the Short North Civic Association.
Held on Sept. 20 and 21, the tour has 11 stops, including the Leafy Dale building (now called The Dennison), which will soon transform into apartments complete with a rooftop terrace, and the Morehouse building, a 10,000-square-foot former warehouse that now houses three condos and courtyards.
Another tour standout: 1237 Neil Ave. (above), built in 1893. It's a Queen-Anne style and boasts intricate woodwork and plenty of antiques.
Attend the preview tour at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 20, for $75. That also includes entrance to a post-tour cocktail party at Cocoa Manor.
The general tour begins at 10 a.m. and runs until 6 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 21. Tickets are $15 presale and $20 on the day of.
A trolley will be stopping along the tour for those who wish to ride to each space. Get your ticket at tour.shortnorthcivic.org or on the day of at Spinelli's Deli, 767 Neil Ave.
