First Look: Thread's New Grandview Flagship Store

Thread on Grandview is still indeed on Grandview-but the store, which also has a Dublin location, just moved to the space across the street at1285 Grandview Ave.

The flagship location is situated right in between Jeni's and Spagio (perfect for a post-shopping snack, perhaps?), and at 3,000 square feet, it's twice the size of the former location at 1306 Grandview Ave.

A few of the new additions include items from 10 Crosby by Derek Lam, Jardine and Rag & Bone handbags-plus khakis designed exclusively for Thread by Eric Clapton. Local artist Trevor Boyle painted the feathers that run along the right wall, and don't miss the new coffee bar along the back, complete with Thread coffee cup sleeves.

Pluma Jewelry, designed locally by Treffry Caldwell, is beautifully presented on a grand driftwood display, and Grandiflora Home + Decor items, including a few gold-speckled cowhide stools, are spread throughout the store. Thread's staple fixture, a chandelier made of tree roots, also made the journey across the street.

Miranda Boyle, Thread's owner, let us pop by to get a peek inside the new space before it officially opens to the public on Wednesday, Sept. 24.

And be sure to stop by for a public grand opening party on Friday, Sept. 26, at 6 p.m.-complete with cocktails and beer, light bites and live music.
