Center For Accessible Art Hosts First Event
The Center For Accessible Art, a new local non-profit dedicated to making art available to those who may not have access to it, is hosting its first event this week.
An Evening with CFAA, held on Dec. 6 from 7 to 10 p.m. at The Old Bag of Nails Pub in Westerville, will include a silent auction featuring original art. Light bites will be served. Tickets are $25 and will act as entry into a drawing for one of three pieces of art. Purchase yours atwww.biddingforgood.com/cfaa or by calling 215-219-7961.
You can also bid on art from Troy Sayers, including the work above, at that link. The online auction ends on Dec. 8 at 10 p.m.
CFAA offers non-visual art for the visually impaired by transforming paintings into relief sculptures, using warm and cool surfaces to represent warm and cool colors. The organization also works with the disabled and elderly with its artist workshops, and it offers art free of charge for public spaces and institutions with no art budget.
