Meghan Browne Brings Her Jewelry Line to Columbus

Meghan Browne is back.

The 45-year-old jewelry distributor, a Circleville native who recently returned to the area after spending roughly 17 years launching her brand in the South, is now running her growing business, Meghan Browne Style, from her home in Dublin.

Browne, a former teacher, realized her passion for the industry when she first moved to North Carolina and felt unfulfilled working as an administrator at a school.

"I realized I always loved jewelry and fashion," Browne says. "I would take friends to the mall every weekend to help them put things together."

What began with small trunk shows eventually led to her line on ShopNBC and, now, her own e-commerce site. She's also in roughly 300 stores, primarily in the South.

The pieces she brings in are classic-think simple shapes with unexpected elements-and affordable, with prices starting at $10 and running up to $48.

"I like pieces that women can go to and wear that can be a cornerstone of their wardrobe," she says. "Nothing too wild looking, something simple with flair."

She does design a few statement pieces on her own, too.
