2015 CCAD Fashion Show Preview: Linh Tran

Tran, a native of Vietnam, loves to travel alone. She'll pick a city, pack her bags and spend a week exploring and gathering inspiration for her own art: fashion. Her senior collection, titled "Xochimilco," is inspired by the Mexican town of the same name. She traveled there during spring break and came home fascinated with its vibrancy, so she put together four looks, including three dresses and one top-and-pant combo, as an homage. "It's high structure," she says. "It's a really vivid combination of colors."

Ideal customer: I think it would have to be a more mature customer. It's all unique. It's more about custom made. They're one-of-a-kind designs.

Favorite designer: Chloé

Dream job: I want to open by own boutique in Hanoi, Vietnam.

Inside info: Tran created her own pattern by hand dyeing a silk wool fabric for her garments.
