Each year, local organization Nellie's Catwalk For Kids (NC4K) has a fashion show to raise funds to support pediatric cancer patients and their families. To gear up for the July show, NC4K hosts a gala at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium. This year's event, In the Cool of the Night, is happening on Saturday, June 13. It's geared toward area businesses who'd like to purchase tables and support the cause.

"It's such a fun evening," says Nellie Krumlauf, president and founder of NC4K. "Guests come in and they'll be greeted with different animals. They can grab a drink and we'll have hors d'oeuvres. Local band The Lovebenders will be the entertainment."

The evening also includes a silent auction and the opportunity to learn about NC4K's mission. The funds raised will help families and "their emotional and financial needs," Krumlauf says. To learn more, visit
