Father's Day Gift Guide: 3 Columbus Experiences
Let's face it, if Dad really wanted something, he'd buy it himself, right?
This year, get him a gift the two of you can enjoy together-an experience. We have three suggestions:
Take Dad on a tour of Columbus' craft beer scene. Choose from a Downtown Brewery Tour, a Grandview Brewery Tour, a Pitchers and Pizza Tour or a Brewery District Walking Tour. You'll stop at around four different spots, and each one includes three to four tastings and a snack, save for the pizza tour, which, naturally, includes pizza. As the site says, "The purpose of the tour is not intoxication but education and enjoyment."
Price: $55/person

Phoenix Bats' Plain City plant is where the magic happens, from start to finish. You can take Dad on an hour-long walking tour of the plant on a Monday or Friday at 1:30 p.m. or on a Wednesday at 6 p.m. These are open tour times and require no reservation. Scheduled tours are available for 10 or more people.
Price: $10/person

The Columbus Historical Society offers bus tours once a month. Each one lasts two and a half hours and takes attendees around Downtown, the Short North, German Village, the Arena District, Olde Towne East and more, with a discussion about national significance, important landmarks, local lore, etc.
Price: $30/person, $28 for senior citizens, $25 for CHS members
