Best of Columbus 2015: A Spot of Tea

Columbus Monthly Staff

We found this adorable single-cup teapot ($35.95) in the retail section of the Short North ZenCha shop, where tea lovers can find a small selection of tea paraphernalia and tea leaves for home sipping. While you're there, order a Fresh Fruit Tea Summer Blend. At the bottom of this barely sweet fruit-infused tea (choose green or black) is a jumble of fresh tropical fruit begging to be scooped up.

Order a matcha or chai latte and browse the generous selection of tea at this Dublin shop. We especially love the Oolong Berry blend, which brews a beautiful rose color. The shop recently started selling its own single-serve sweetened matcha envelopes, perfect for work or travel. In the retail section, find a variety of accouterments, including this perky orange teapot ($31), Tehku-branded travel cups and mugs, infusers and ceremonial matcha accessories.

Ha'Penny Bridge Imports of Ireland

For all you Barry's and Lyons fans out there, this shamrock-speckled tea pot ($50) is just your cup of, well, you know. Ha'Penny Bridge honors the fine Irish tradition of tea with an assortment of tea sets and mugs, but this one, which comes with a cup that sits inverted over the lid, stood out for its sturdy construction and simple shape.
