Her story
Tracy was nominated for a Capital Style makeover by her sister, who felt Tracy deserved this experience because she always puts others before herself. Tracy, who stayed at home with her four children when they were young, went back to school to become a nurse practitioner nearly 10 years ago. Now, she works in hospice and palliative care, traveling around the city to visit patients. "I have a conservative style," Tracy says. "In my line of work, I do home visits, so I'm constantly wearing something washable." Tracy embraced the hair, makeup and styling tips she learned during the makeover process. "I don't deserve this but I love it," she says. "It's not something I'd take the time to do for myself."
Hair at J.Bentley
Hair artist Stephanie Sturiale added some caramel highlights to Tracy's hair, giving her a transitional color. "It's low maintenance," Sturiale says. "I'm enhancing her color with hand-painted dimension." She also used a flat iron to straighten the hair, then added a looser curl to Tracy's locks.
Facial at Skin Perfect
Myka Hudson, clinical esthetician and wax specialist at Skin Perfect, kept Tracy's skin looking fresh with a facial that included dermaplane and a peel.
Makeup at Skin Perfect
Crystal Argo, Skin Perfect's cosmetics manager, gave Tracy some color around her eyes to make them pop. She also swapped out foundation and instead used a CC cream as a base to achieve a perfect complexion.

Tracy dons a Lafayette jacket ($598), Lafayette pants ($278) and Stuart Weitzman wedges ($398). She also wears Alexis Bittar bangles ($155 to $185 each) and carries a Michael Kors bag ($795).
